Reviews & comments

what a gigadeception this is; seen the first 5 and none of them were acceptable. Kathy Bates is completely out of place in this mess of B garnish, sin. Furthermore, script, nonsense and extremely annoying and misplaced studio applause ensure that Netflix can once again add a gigablunder to its credit. I say avoid because there is so much more that is worth it...

Well worth it, although 20 episodes are more than enough.

I personally watched this series stoned and I think that's the best way, with some beer it will be fine too!

The series starts out as a typical sitcom but gets more serious as the season progresses, which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

It is clear that Chuck Lorre contributed to this, the humor is reminiscent of Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory at times.

The tripping animations in every episode even reminded me of Triptank and makes the series nice and spacey and vague. And the commercials were also a hit! Give me some Kush!

It's not a great series, but it's watchable if you're in the mood for it.

3.5*

If the creator of The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men is going to make a series about a coffee shop with Kathy Bates in the lead role, then there is little that can go wrong, can it?

In practice this is unfortunately disappointing. Bates was very enjoyable. The style and clothing in the series were also very successful and at the beginning the characters seemed promising. The big miss of this series, however, is the hyper hysterical duo Dank & Dabby. Two over the top characters who are given all the space to expand each weed cliché. Unfortunately, they don't get any fun anywhere and they get too much space in each episode.

Whenever I started to get into a storyline, it was interrupted by the not nice contribution of this downright moronic duo. To make matters worse, as the episodes went on, the other cast members also got worse. As if she herself no longer believed in it and could only magnify all the stereotypes.

There were certainly moments in the series that were very enjoyable and even progressive, but everything that could have been great fun in theory was skillfully killed by blandness and poorly written storylines.

Kathy Bates was great but it takes more to make a series succeed.

I'm not a fan of the cancel culture but this series would have gotten a quality injection if Dank & Dabby had been cut out.

All in all, there would have been more residents and this is a missed opportunity.
