The Newsroom plot

Aaron Sorkin's HBO drama series centers on a news broadcaster's anchor (Jeff Daniels), his new executive producer (Emily Mortimer), his news editor and their employer. Despite the station's commercial goals, outside political pressure and all the personal problems they face, they team up for a patriotic and slightly otherworldly mission: to deliver quality news at all costs.
