I am a fan of the Interview with the Vampire series, but this spin-off really feels like cheap filler to keep the fans occupied. It also turns out to be from a completely different creative team. Mediocrely written, mediocre acting—lead actor Nicholas Denton is a real joke—and made without any love either. Which series from 2025 on Netflix is still in HD/SDR? I gave up after 2.5 episodes. It is funny, though, that the third episode starts in Dutch; I thought I had clicked on the wrong thing for a moment.
However, it is indeed based on books by the late Anne Rice, and she and her son are also listed as executive producers (apparently that is possible posthumously?). Apparently, the family didn't really keep a close eye on the quality control.
