I've now seen the first five seasons. If this kind of series is your thing, I understand the high ratings. For me, the crime stories, which are supposed to be the main focus, are well-written. But unfortunately, the downright depressing personal circumstances of the main detective characters dominate. In fact, this personal life is one big mess from beginning to end throughout the seasons. If the ratio of crime story to personal troubles had been more focused on solving the crime, my rating would have been a bit higher. In that respect, season 1 was the best, but it quickly went downhill after that. As I mentioned before: if drama is your thing, this is a fine series. Just enough for me.
