Moedermaffia! plot

In the eyes of others, Daan is a 'degenerate' mother, who just messes around and has no idea what good parenting is. After her divorce, Daan ends up on her mother's couch, and threatens to lose her daughter Pip to the perfect stepmother Monique. And so she suddenly has to work to prove that she is a good parent, and take a parenting course; even though nobody really knows what 'the perfect mother' means exactly.

Protagonist Loes Haverkort had probably imagined it differently. In Moedermafia (with exclamation mark! Why?) she plays Danielle. A divorced mother with two children who manages to make a constant mess of her life. Deliciously over the top (but not really) we see physical violence, nagging children, spoiled mothers, a vicious grandmother and oh yes, also child protection and a support group. Laugh! Laugh? Mother mafia! is a comedy that cannot be laughed at. A series with children that is more like a children's series. And a drama without feeling. Despite Loes Haverkort. Because she gets through it womanly.
