Red Rose plot

A group of teenagers have a long summer vacation after the end of their exams. They hang around, with no clear direction or purpose now that they no longer have school. Stories are circulating about an app called 'Red Rose', which is said to encourage young people to take on increasingly dangerous challenges. When one of the group, Rochelle, downloads the app, inviting a supernatural power to enter her phone.

Not for me, this boring and poorly acted soap. What was this even about? A bunch of teenagers with smartphones, that's all I remember.

Red Rose

This was quite a fun series that got quite exciting at times.

I was comfortable with it from the start. A group of teenagers and a mysterious app, you can make something beautiful out of that and she succeeded. The group of friends really felt the chemistry they had, although some of the actions and dialogues were a bit exaggerated.

What I also appreciated was the music. Sometimes a few nice classics came along, but then cast in a different jacket that perfectly suited the scene in question.

The ending disappointed me. I thought it was an anticlimax that the group managed to escape so easily and the final reveal of ''The Gardener''. I had hoped that someone known would be behind it, but unfortunately that twist did not materialize. It was also unclear why this group was specifically targeted.

Still a big enough. 3.5 stars.
