Messiah plot

CIA officer Eva Geller (Michelle Monaghan) who tracks down a mysterious man (Mehdi Dehbi). When he gets international attention for disturbing public order, she starts an investigation into him. Worldwide he gets more and more followers who are all convinced that he works miracles. And the international media also pays positive attention to this charismatic figure. For Eve, it becomes a race against time to unravel the mystery: is this man really the divine entity he claims to be or is he a deceitful con man capable of overthrowing the geopolitical world order?

Goed concept maar: - geen dramatisch doel - geen interessante personages - geen interessante dialogen of diepere vragen - op het einde zit je met het gevoel: "waar heb ik nu naar gekeken" Teleurstellend verhaal in z'n geheel, er gebeurt niets. Jammer, want de Messias is Belg (geboren in Luik)

Good concept but:

- no dramatic goal

- no interesting characters

- no interesting dialogues or deeper questions

- at the end you are left with the feeling: "what have I been looking at"

Disappointing story overall, nothing happens.

Too bad, because the Messiah is Belgian (born in Liège)

Spannende, mysterieuze serie met een originele en interessante insteek. De personages zijn ook boeiend. Eén en ander had iets vlotter verteld kunnen worden en ik denk ook niet dat er genoeg potentie is voor een tweede reeks, maar de tien afleveringen zitten degelijk in elkaar en visueel is alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd.

Exciting, mysterious series with an original and interesting approach. The characters are also captivating. Things could have been told a little more smoothly and I don't think there is enough potential for a second series, but the ten episodes are well put together and visually everything is taken care of down to the last detail.
