Great at times, but for the most part this series is rather unbalanced. The main problem is the slow pace and the uninteresting characters. The events and the many traumas of the main characters left me rather cold. Visually everything is very well put together, with beautiful production design and some impressive action scenes. The last few episodes are also very good. Clearly a 'slow burner'. For the patient viewer, the series has a lot to offer, despite the obvious shortcomings.
