'A woman starts to question her own faith when she uncovers a terrifying conspiracy to bring about the birth of evil incarnate in Rome.'
It stars Nell Tiger Free, Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, Ralph Ineson, and Bill Nighy.
Fans have been speculating as to how the movie will relate to The Omen, with many commenting with theories on the latest trailer videos. Nell Tiger Free insists she hasn't seen an accurate theory yet, though.
"I have a tendency to trawl YouTube comments when it's four in the morning and I can't go to sleep," she told SFX Magazine.
"I'm enjoying looking at everybody's theories because everybody's wrong, baby! Everybody is wrong! I hope we scare the shit out of people."
In 2016 it was announced that a new entry in The Omen franchise would be made, with Ben Jacoby writing the script. Though the story is based on Jacoby's ideas, the screenplay itself was subsequently written by Tim Smith, Arkasha Stevenson and Keith Thomas, with Stevenson also directing.
The original Omen, released in 1976, is recognised as one of the greatest horror movies of all time. It told the story of a man who discovers he is raising the antichrist after adopting another baby following the death of his infant son at birth.
Six movies have been produced in the movie series so far - The Omen, Damien: Omen II, Omen III: The Final Conflict, Omen IV: The Awakening, The Omen (remake) and The First Omen.
The trailer that has been released is a short one but we already see some franchise signatures such as skulking priests, nuns and, of course, the sign of the Beast - 666.
There are a few throwbacks to the first movie like the "it's all for you" line before what looks like self-immolation.
