The first reactions for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One are in and it is safe to say Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie have struck gold again.
The official premise reads:
'Ethan Hunt and his IMF team embark on their most dangerous mission to track down a terrifying weapon that threatens humanity before it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, and dark forces from Ethan's past closing in, a deadly race around the globe begins. Confronted by a mysterious and powerful nemesis named Gabriel, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than his mission – not even the lives of those he cares about most.'
Various promos and vignettes went viral before the movie itself was even released. A death-defying motorcycle stunt off a cliff and a thrilling car chase through the streets of Rome gave fans a taste of what to expect.
Dead Reckoning Part One stars Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales, Henry Czerny and Pom Klementieff.
