Karen Gillan says she would be up for playing Poison Ivy in the DC Extended Universe.
For over a decade, Gillan has played Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What started off as a relatively small part in Guardians of the Galaxy turned into a key role in the Infinity War saga.
She has worked with James Gunn on the first two Guardians movies, though the writer/director has now left the Marvel family to take up an executive role with their rivals, DC Comics.
Many fans have been wondering whether Gunn might look to some of his Guardians pals when looking to cast some of the DC characters.
Should Gillan feature for DC, she wants to play a famous Batman villain.
"I always thought that Poison Ivy was really fun. So maybe something like that would be cool," the Scottish actress told Total Film.
"Honestly, if James asked me to play an alien that sits in the background of a shot and doesn’t talk, I would say yes (laughs). Because working with him has been one of the great joys of my career so far."
Gillan says the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise is "the gift that keeps on giving" as her role as Nebula wasn't initially a big one for Marvel.
"I was under the impression I was signing up for eight days of filming on the first film. And then it just gradually kept getting extended. And here we are, nine or 10 years later," she recalled.
