Marked, a South African heist thriller series, makes its hugely anticipated debut on Netflix on 31st July.
The show will focus on a mother, Babalwa, who must go to extreme lengths to afford life-saving surgery for her daughter, battling what is described by Netflix as an "unthinkable moral dilemma".

Babalwa, a hugely religious woman, at first attempts the power of prayer to save her daughter, but is faith is truly tested when she becomes involved with gangster and a deadly heist that goes terribly wrong.
It stars Lerato Mvelase, Bonko Khoza, Ama Qamata, Sphamandla Dhludhu, S’Dumo Mtshali, Jerry Mofokeng wa Makgetha, Desmond Dube, Natasha Thahane, Gaisang Noge, Linda Sokhulu, and Mduduzi Mabaso.
Netflix describes the series as "raw, emotional and gripping".
Marked has been credited with being culturally auhentic to South Africa while offering a storyline and jaw-dropping tension that will attract a global audience.
