The highest paid actors of 2023 REVEALED

Adam Sandler is officially the highest-paid actor of 2023, according to Forbes.

While the movie box office was dominated by the likes of Oppenheimer, Barbie and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Sandler has earned the top spot through his lucrative deal with Netflix.

In 2014, Sandler signed a $250 million eight-picture deal with the streaming platform that saw him star in and produce a variety of movies. That deal has since been renewed.

Clearly, audiences cannot get enough of The Sandman as Netflix subscribers spent over 500 MILLION hours watching Sandler movies. Murder Mystery 2 was his most-watched project, with audiences tuning in for 173 million hours. The success of that movie also helped Jennifer Aniston hit the top 10 highest-paid actors list. She also starred in The Morning Show and crucially still received lucrative residuals from Friends.

She is one of only two female actors in the top 10 and it is no surprise to see that Margot Robbie is the other. Not only did she star in Barbie, but she was a producer and it was recently revealed that she had earned $50m (and counting) from that movie alone in 2023.

Mission: Impossible megastar Tom Cruise is in third place behind Sandler and Robbie. Crucially, all of the actors in the top three produced their own projects in 2023 which is an undoubted factor in their financial success.

Rounding out the top five are Matt Damon and Ryan Gosling, both of whom starred in the aforementioned Oppenheimer and Barbie, respectively.
