Adam Driver didn't take too kindly to a critical comment on Ferrari, swearing at an audience member during a Q&A.
The official premise reads:
'During the summer of 1957, Enzo Ferrari, reeling from the death of his son Dino, the deteriorating marriage with his wife Laura, and his company's impending bankruptcy, enters his racing team to the 1957 Mille Miglia.'
It co-stars Penelope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Gabriel Leone, Sarah Gadon, Jack O'Connell and Patrick Dempsey.
Ferrari has received mostly positive reviews from critics so far, particularly for the performance of Cruz.
One audience member at the Q&A questioned the "cheesy" action/racing sequences and Driver simply responded:
"F*** you, I don't know."
Is Ferrari guilty of cultural appropriation?
Driver, Michael Mann and the entire production of Ferrari have been accused of cultural appropriation due to the actor playing Enzo Ferrari despite not being Italian.
"There's an issue of cultural appropriation," Italian film star Pierfrancesco Favino previously suggested.
"Instead, the parts are given to foreign actors who are distant from the story's real protagonists, starting with the exotic accents. If a Cuban can't play a Mexican, why can an American play an Italian? It only happens with us.
"In another time (Vittorio) Gassman would have played Ferrari. Now, Driver does it and no one says anything."
