As Emma Corrin isn't a Marvel fan, it was certainly a shock to the system when they joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Deadpool 3.
The third movie in the Deadpool trilogy will again star Ryan Reynolds in the title role, with Hugh Jackman making his long-awaited return as Wolverine, too.
“Hands up, I’m not a Marvel person. I’ve watched Spider-Man and Black Panther. I was like, ‘Look, you’re gonna have to debrief me into this.'" she told Empire.
“It’s such an intricate world. There’s so much to it, it’s an absolute mind-f***. All the language and the Easter eggs, and this person is related to that person who did this, and this person came back and this person’s dead… it’s amazing.
“It’s a phenomenon, and I feel really lucky to be part of it. Especially Deadpool, because I love the fact that it’s self-aware, and critical of its own inner-workings."
Deadpool 3 also stars Matthew Macfadyen, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, and Jennifer Garner.
Reynolds announces Jackman's return
Jackman has played Wolverine for over two decades, starting with X-Men and finishing with Logan, which was released in 2017.
The character's arc and ultimate death in Logan led many to speculate that his time playing the mutant was over. Jackman himself even expressed apprehension about returning.
But, his return was confirmed via a hilarious video posted to Reynolds' social media pages.
