Rancher Tom Kilpatrick wants to improve the quality of the herds by breeding a Brahma bull. Windy Lucas's inattention causes the bull to break out and infest the surrounding ranches, even killing several other bulls. The ranchers want to kill the animal, but Kilpatrick asks them to be patient and tries to catch the bull. Kilpatrick sets out to catch "Widow Maker", a famous wild horse, and with the help of the horse, tries to catch the bull.
