The Showdown plot

Marshal Luke Canfield is on a search for his ex-wife, who has left him along with their son. His search ends in the town of Sand Prairie where he takes the job of sheriff. Canfield falls in love with Dixie, the blond dancer of the local saloon, and is unlucky that Asa Brown also has plans for the woman. Brown is also the leader of a gang of horse thieves. When Brown harasses her, Canfield chases him out of town. Canfield gives chase to Brown, setting in motion a series of events that endanger Canfield, Dixie and two young lads.
