When evil lumberjack Frenchy Duvalle refuses to limit his logging activities, he accidentally starts a forest fire. Trapped in the middle of the blaze, his only hope for rescue is the Mountie Tom Jeffries, who scours the countryside in his reconnaissance plane. Jeffries' reasons for getting Frenchy to safety are ambiguous. After all, he has to deliver the renegade lumberjack to the authorities, and he happens to be in love with Frenchy's sister Betty.
