"Black Mask...Six-Gun...Straining Horse...This Mysterious Rider---Took Justice In His Own Hands!"

The ranchers have given money through Benton to the shady lawyer Harkness to defend their claims to their land. However, when Harkness gets a better offer, he steals Benton's check for the money and Benton is locked up in jail. To fight back, Benton escapes from prison at night to become "The Phantom".
