The Lion and the Horse plot
"King of the wild beasts against king of wild horses!"
Ben Kirby catches the horse Wildfire. Afterwards he wants to buy the animal, but the horse has already been sold to Dave Tracy, an unsympathetic rodeo organizer. Kirby manages to free the horse and goes after it. He and the horse are welcomed at Cas Bagley's ranch. A warm love develops there between the cowboy and the animal. Dave Tracy isn't giving up on losing the horse that easily, though.
