"Rousing Outdoor Romance --- Like "The Virginian""
The rancher Hammond is found to have been killed by a mysterious assailant. Hammond's rancher and friend Dick Bailey suspects that one Stack, who works with the corrupt Sheriff Grip, knows more about this. Dick has sworn he will marry the first woman he meets. This woman happens to be Ruth Hammond, the sister of his deceased friend. Ruth, who has just arrived to take over the Hammond Ranch, immediately rejects Dick's marriage proposal. Ruth even fires Dick. Stack tells Ruth that Dick is after the Hammond Ranch because he has tax debts. Ruth doesn't trust Stack and wants to hire Dick again.
