"HE'S A FRONTIER DOCTOR NOW---Packin' Pills and Pistols!"
Doctor Gene Autry returns as a "doctor on horseback" to a Utah border town where his father was murdered. Autry faces a feud between mine owner Jayda McQueen and rancher Bowie French. Autry grants Karen McQueen's request to treat her ailing younger brother Duncan, but the boy dies unexpectedly. Jayda McQueen wants to kill Autry, but he is saved by Bowie French's timely action. When the miners then kill an employee of French, French attacks McQueen's mine. Autry now feels compelled to choose between the McQueens and French.
