The Girl of the Golden West plot
Minnie is the owner of the Polka Saloon. She falls in love with Dick Johnson, who she later discovers is an outlaw. A snow storm forces Dick to spend the night with Minnie. A jealous dancer from the saloon passes on Dick's identity and whereabouts to Sheriff Jack Rance, who also loves Minnie. Minnie, however, denies Dick's presence. Dick is shot while trying to escape. Minnie then gives Dick shelter again, but his traces of blood seem to betray her this time…
