The Gentleman from Arizona plot
"...the king of wild horse races to glory against thoroughbreds of the turf..."
The Coburn ranch is a big ranch, but it's in trouble because the owner "Wild Bill" Coburn has yet to pay back taxes. Coburn has two solutions to this problem; the first solution is to win the Arizona Derby with his horse Sky Lancer, the other is to let his daughter Georgia marry the wealthy Van Wyck. Van Wyck is also Coburn's opponent in the Arizona Derby with his horse "The Gem". Cowboys Pokey and Pee Wee are offered a job at the Coburn ranch because Pokey is the only man who can ride Sky Rex, a wild stallion and Coburn's new addition. Van Wyck has the horse poison Sky Lancer in order to win the horse race. Pokey and Georgia decide to let Sky Rex enter the race as a replacement for Sky Lancer.
