Roy (Roy Rogers), owner of a racing horse company, gears up to transport some special horses to the Pan American races in Monterey. Among the horses is "Dancing Girl". The mare is owned by Doris Stewart (Dale Evans) who is forced to sell the horse. In Caliente, Roy meets Rosina (Charlita). The young fortune teller begs him not to resume his journey. She is proved right because after crossing Caliente's border, the caravan of which Roy is a part is ambushed and the horses are stolen.
