Counterfeit dollar bills are smuggled into Canada. They are hidden in ice blocks. When the forgers pressure engraver James Bronson to make a new plate, he can engrave a small message for help. Mounties sergeant Renfrew arrests a money smuggler who is carrying one of the newly printed dollar bills. Under a magnifying glass, Renfrew can read Bronson's call for help and he and his dog Lightning go on a hunt for the money counterfeiters.
