Quebec plot
"For a Woman of Mystery a ragged army of Frontiersmen dared the might of an empire!"
Quebec, Canada, 1837. The French and English are engaged in an armed struggle over Quebec's political status: should it remain a province of Canada or become a state of its own. Mme. Stephanie Durossac, aka 'La Fleur', is in charge of the separatists. Canada-loyal Mark, Charles Douglas' son, learns that La Fleur is his long-missing mother. La Fleur is now married to the separatist leader Colonel Durossac. Charles, Mark and their comrades are ordered to free prisoners from the hands of the insurgents. The operation is successful, only Charles and Mark are captured. Charles is then executed by Colonel Durossac. Mark must suffer the same fate, but La Fleur wants to sacrifice her life to save her son Mark.
