"ROMANTIC ADVENTURE IN EARLY CALIFORNIA!"

Captain and fortune hunter Phillip Kent travels with his friend Pio on a secret mission from Mexico City to Monterey. Their mission is to provide the Californians with state-of-the-art weapons for their fight against the Spanish Royalists. Disguised as pirates, these royalists plunder their towns, villages and fortresses. Once in Los Angeles, Phillip and Pio meet the irresistible Marguerita Novarro and Filomena, who have just missed the stagecoach. Kent reluctantly accepts to escort both ladies, but soon falls for Marguerita, while Pio is not insensitive to Filomena. However, after a wonderful night in Santa Barbara, the two ladies suddenly appear to have disappeared. The disappointed Phuillip and Pio eventually reach Monterey, where they are welcomed by Lieutenant Carlo Ortega, Phillip's best friend. However, Phillip must determine that Carlo is officially engaged to Marguerita.
