Tim Mallory (Tim McCoy) used to be a criminal, but has now come to his senses. He goes in search of the murderer of his young friend Chuck Adams (George Offerman Jr.). The trail leads to Goldland, a town run by gamblers, bandits and a useless sheriff. Tim is appointed by mine owner Rutledge as a proxy to restore order to Goldland. All goes well until an old acquaintance shows up, who knows all about Tim's criminal past, and who can put Tim behind bars.
