Honor of the West plot
"MURDEROUS MERCILESS MISCREANTS OUT FOR HIS BLOOD!"
Sheriff Bob Bartlett is called in to arrest a gang of cattle thieves. His deputy Tom Morrison is shot by mobster Luke Grimes. The gang, including sheriff's friend Russ Whitley, manage to escape. Bartlett has no evidence in his hands and that prevents him from taking action. This causes the distrust of prominent citizen Lem Walker, who has his own thoughts about Bartlett's friendship with one of the cattle thieves. The whole situation is made worse by the arrival of Bat Morrison, Tom's brother, who demands Bartlett arrest the man who shot his brother.
