There has been a lot of homicides in the Big Bend, Texas area lately. The vagrant Cooncat is considered the prime suspect by the population and Cooncat is captured by a rancher. The rancher is unaware that a number of presumed dead men have returned after being left for dead during a clash in which the ranchers competed among themselves for basic rights. These men have now returned to take revenge on those who left the wounded on the battlefield.
