"You know the myth... Now meet the legend."
Notorious outlaw "Wild Bill" Hickok tries to escape his past by settling in the small town of Abilene, Kansas. Impressed by Wild Bill's gun skills, the mayor offers him a job as the town's marshal. While Wild Bill tries to protect the town, he soon has to deal with a group of outlaws who threaten him and the law.
