Frontier Pony Express plot

"Brave men on gallant horses...risking life and limb on the western plains...to insure the safety of their precious cargoes."

The Civil War is in full swing as Lassiter develops a plan to take control of California. Operating out of St. Joseph, he wants false information sent through the Pony Express to the troops on the west coast. Lassiter first tries to bribe the Pony Express rider Roy Rogers. When this fails, Lassiter enlists the help of Johnson and his gang.
