Clay Fletcher is a righteous former Confederate officer. Clay doesn't pass up the opportunity to reunite with his former girlfriend Susan Jeffers when his father, Judge Fletcher, asks him to go to El Paso, Texas, to sign a legal document from Susan's father, Judge Fletcher. Henry Jeffers, get it. Once arrived in El Paso, Clay determines that the judge has become a drunkard and no longer has any influence. He has become the lap dog of local magnate Bert Donner with Sheriff La Farge. Clay begins reintroducing law and order in El Paso, only to be forced by circumstances to not always do it the legal way.
