Dugan of the Badlands plot
Andy's father dies in the desert. Bill Dugan rescues Andy and the two continue to hang out together. Along the way, they find Sheriff Manning, who has been taken out by a gang of smugglers and left by them to die in the desert. Bill and Andy agree that they want to track down the perpetrators and are sworn in as deputy sheriff. The duo convince the gang leader that Manning is dead. But June, Sheriff Manning's daughter, thinks Bill killed her father.
