After a four-year absence, Johnny Shattuck returns to his parents' ranch. Johnny finds out that former cattle thief Dean Cannary has his eye on his family's ranch as well as his girlfriend Anita Valdez. To further its goals, Cannary has shut down a major well that supplies the Shattuck Ranch. Unable to legally get rid of Cannary, Johnny prepares for an armed duel.
