Cavalier of the West plot
"A MIGHTY CARAVAN OF MELODRAMATIC THRILLS!"
Cavalry Captain John Allister's mission is to keep the peace between the Native Americans and the whites. One day, Allister catches deputy sheriff "Red" Greeley and four oulaws attacking White Feather and two other Native Americans. The men accuse the Indians of stealing their horses, but Allister uses a ruse to prove that this story is not true, but that they wanted to steal the gold that the Indians wanted to bring to El Rio. Allister arrests the men and hands them over to Sheriff Bill Ryan, who gives Greely the benefit of the doubt and lets his deputy go. However, Greeley informs Lee Burgess, leader of the outlaws and foreman at the Fernandez Ranch, about the arrest. Ryan and Allister are at the Fernandez Ranch buying horses for the military. Allister, however, falls openly in love with Dolores, the daughter of ranch owner Don Fernandez. But the jealous and angry foreman Lee Burgess is not happy about this and he lets the four prisoners escape. Allister must now pull out all the stops to prevent an Indian revolt.
