Beyond the Rockies plot

The cowboys at Allen's ranch quit their jobs because the cattle keep getting stolen. Black Jack and his men take the place of the cowboys. One of the men is killed by the cattle thieves, but Black Jack manages to catch the killer. In the ensuing fight, his marshal star falls from his pocket and Ruby, the leader of the gang, takes off with it.
