Waterfront plot

Nazi spy Carl Decker poses as an optometrist (ophthalmologist) in the ports of San Francisco. Victor Marlowe, Decker's companion, keeps the local Germans and Americans in check by threatening him to harm their families. Then the codebook, which contains all the names of Nazi agents and saboteurs, is stolen from Decker. Decker and Marlowe will have to keep the book from falling into the hands of the local authorities.
