Revolution plot

18th century. America is in the hands of the world superpower England, but tries to free itself from the yoke of English rule by means of a Declaration of Independence. A fierce battle erupts between the well-organized and trained English army and the rebels, working-class men who form a makeshift army. When fur trader Tom Dobb briefly loses sight of his son Ned in New York, it turns out he has joined the rebels. Out of love for his son, Tom decides to follow suit.
