It is remarkable that an unfounded rumor about Cotillard and Pitt has also received so much attention here (reading back). It is a bit of an extension of the practice of waiting for the person who played a bad guy behind the theater and beating them up.

Well, the movie. A real Hollywood vehicle indeed, with the first part set in Casablanca just fine for me, especially because of the evolving relationship between Marion and Max. Then some incomprehensible narrative turns are taken and not much later we suddenly find ourselves looking at a caring housewife with her always working husband. Any interest in the characters themselves has then disappeared, you only have to rely on the plot developments (where only the ultimate ending becomes interesting, starting from the piano scene). It's not very logical, by the way, what Max does: he should have made sure that Marion wouldn't pass on the message, then test her himself and switch off the network. But keep thinking. death still proudly proclaim their service to the Reich, well, that's Hollywood and that will never change.

Thanks to Cotillard in particular, it is still an excellent watchable film.

Despite all the coincidences, very good film.
