Just an ordinary fun film to watch with a sometimes exciting and good story. More action is needed these days? Don't know.
Well played by the actors and I think the director was satisfied with the end result.
A nice 7!

NB, What I was somewhat surprised by is that the film does not provide an answer about the further events of the main character who was shot down with his co-pilot in Norway, about a possible return or a prisoner of war period with the Germans.[/spoiler ]

Great film considering the era, and a good addition to the airborne war films, which from memory ends with Memphis Belle and The Battle of Britain.

Image is created in this sense of the dangerous flights, especially of Mosquito kites, because firstly the aircraft were made of wood, I believe, and because the aircraft were used for all 'dirty' jobs because of their maneuverability and speed. No different in this case. Excellent run-up and exercises to the final attack. Of course the resistance fighters fall down without any form of injury and 'the bombing' has a high Thunderbirds element, but it is 1964. I thought the crash of the Mosquito and how the fire was extinguished was well depicted, the bombing of the Gestapo quarters are also nothing wrong with that and there are plenty of beautiful shots of the planes low, in formation or during the attack flight.

Very entertaining movie. Nothing wrong with that.

A somewhat strange film - especially because of the contrived story, which is clearly based on the attacks on the heavy water factory in Vemork, but also deviates from them in broad strokes. But why? There are plenty of stories to be picked from history - even if you take into account the limitations of which planes you have available, assuming that the rumor that the planes were there before the script is indeed true.

Logically, the story is quite weak, and the scenes in the sky are also a bit shaky. Yet there is also quite a bit of good in it, and it is a pleasure to see the old planes in action.
