Yûwakusha plot
Tokyo psychiatrist Sotomura becomes fascinated by his patient Miyako, who claims she was beaten by her lesbian mistress but can't explain why she thinks she needs treatment. He intervenes when she takes a taxi driven by one of his other patients, a man with a schizophrenic past. When he later hears that the taxi driver has been stabbed to death, he is unmoved. But when Miyako stabs him with a knife, his fascination turns into an obsession.
