Verräter plot

DDR, 1988. Police officer Martin Franzen is on duty when a woman's corpse is recovered from the Baltic Sea. The body shows gunshot wounds and everything indicates that she contracted them while trying to flee the GDR. During the investigation, however, Martin encounters ambiguities. In addition, an important witness suddenly dies. The Stasi takes over the case, but Martin secretly continues his investigation on his own.
