The Elevator plot
"Strangers trapped in an elevator...suspended 32 floors above death...and somebody's out to make sure it's their last ride on..."
Two mobsters, Marvin Ellis and Eddie Holcomb, decide to rob a huge bank in Los Angeles. In this attempt, the claustrophobic Holcomb, along with several other people, gets stuck in an elevator between two floors. While the fire brigade is en route to free the occupant, a nasty discovery is made: the elevator cables are very old and very worn. So it is a matter of hours before the cables will give way and the elevator will collapse.
