"Is there a 'Cathy' in your past ?"
Professor Andrew Gentling, who is in Los Angeles looking for a new colleague, is invited for a nighttime ride by his old flame Catherine Sykes. The next day Catherine goes missing and is believed to have been murdered. Andrew's girlfriend Martha convinces him that he must find the real killer before he is arrested. This puts Andrew in mortal danger.
