A young writer and his wife struggle to cope with the loss of their child. When one night a girl shows up in panic at their door with the story that she is being chased by masked burglars, their lives are turned upside down. That night, the burglars strike and the couple find themselves in a gruesome cat and mouse game, forcing them to reveal the shocking details of their past.

Dafuq? Weak "The Strangers"? The Strangers is itself a weak The Strangers...
A tight home invasion that gains just that little bit of extra momentum towards the end. The usual pitfalls, but shot incredibly tightly and with a great soundtrack. Highly recommended. Especially considering the rest of the offerings fall short even further.

Definitely in line with films like The Strangers and Ils. The problem with Static is that the film builds too slowly, and it takes a long time before Rachel arrives at the door. Until then, the film is slow and dull, and it's mostly just chatter among the residents. The suspense is mediocre, with little buildup when the people in the masks show up. Often riddled with clichés, this thriller could have done better. The (strange) ending, admittedly a bit less standard, particularly let the film down.

Not much happens, but for once I'm more positive than the critics and MM users. I found it quite enjoyable to watch, this film was indeed reminiscent of The Strangers.
The acting was quite pleasant, and I also found it exciting.
The ending could perhaps have been a little better, but overall I'm quite positive...
