State of Consciousness plot

Stephen and Alicia are a happy young couple living a simple life until Stephen is accused of a mysterious murder. An experimental treatment causes a gap in his memory for a year and an inability to separate his horrible hallucinations from real life. To regain his sanity and resume his normal life, Stephen decides to escape from the institution in which he is imprisoned.
