"Two investigators in the worst crime scene: war."
A Spanish battalion, nicknamed The Blue Division, falls into an icy lake and freezes all but one: its body lying on the ice with its throat slit. Inscribed on his shoulders are the words "Watch out, God sees you." The soldier Arturo Andrade, a former inspector, is assigned the case. He proceeds methodically with the help of Sergeant Estrada. The clues point to a perverse revenge by a serial killer. All soldiers present, 18,000 in total, are suspect in the case...
