Paris Calling plot
"ADVENTURE pounding to the beat of your heart!"
Affluent Parisien Marianne Jannetier is engaged to André Benoit, a high-ranking government official. Marianne flees with her mother to Bordeaux when the Nazis march into Paris. When her mother dies en route after a bombing by the 'Luftwaffe', Marianne returns to Paris and joins the French resistance. There she also meets Lieutenant Nicholas 'Nick' Jordan, an American pilot with the RAF, who is stranded in Paris. Together with Nick, Marianne kills her former fiancé André after it is revealed that he is a Nazi informant. At André both find secret German documents, which they want to smuggle to England via a French port, but it turns out that the Gestapo, led by Captain Schwabe, have taken up residence in a cafe.
